sites by what
my domain host offered to me with my hosting
package. This issue combined with extremely slow
support ticket responses and frequent server issues
causing our web sites to be unavailable to the Internet,
led me to building our own servers and purchasing our own
data center and bandwidth. After extensive research, I now build my
servers with the latest and most reliable technology and
attach them to the new and reliable Verizon fiber optic
network.
When choosing a domain hosting provider, you should take
in to consideration the following before signing up with
them. The first and perhaps most important question
you should ask is how well are they prepared for a
disaster. At some point in time, the server that is
hosting your domain name is going to have some sort of
problem. Hard drives, fans and other server components
don't last forever and if something should go wrong with the
server, you will have a lot less headaches and downtime if
your hosting provider is prepared for this. Every night at 4:00 AM EST, I have configured
our servers to back up the server system state, email, SQL and all files
that members upload to the servers. This also comes in
handy if you accidentally delete or mess up a file that you need,
we can restore any files that were backed up the night before
at no additional charge. We also make sure that spare
parts for all the servers are in stock at all times to ensure that
down time due to faulty hardware is minimal. Please
